If there is one aspect among a group of individuals that needs the highest order of like-mindedness in understanding, propagating and manifesting personal responsibility it’s but one word- Patriotism.
It is mandatory to have the same word understood with consensus for its meaning is very simple though very powerful.
The strength of leader can be measured by the level of like-mindedness he can efficiently generate within a group.
Patriotism is a leadership quality. It is the battle call that awakens every man into being a leader irrespective of his education, religion or economic background.
By the very virtue of being born in a particular nation one is bestowed with a primal accord of trust. The trust that a person will not betray the country at all times. To honour this trust is Patriotism.
Patriotism is far from being a choice but rather a duty and a responsibility one must cherish throughout life.
A patriot honours this trust as much as he honours every citizen in every community. Because a country is made up of people, the one who honours and upholds the law of the land will respect every individual in society as much as he respects himself .
The need of the hour is social integration- the key message of Kalaga. One thing that resounds from every corner of my book . Social integration is the essence of like-mindedness every individual can generate in society by the way he lives and honours truth and well-being.
Patriotism is vast as the ocean and may require a life time of understanding. It is essential that this attribute of being patriotic must be inculcated in schools with students being taught how to respect another individual in society being unbiased over caste, race, creed or religion.
